A teacher of the Zentangle® Method is known as a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). CZTs are trained by Zentangle, Inc. to share the method and its techniques in a clear, supportive way. There are around 8,000 CZTs worldwide, forming a global community of teachers and practitioners.

Working with a CZT provides gentle structure, along with practical tips and guidance to help you get the most from the practice. The aim is not dependency on a teacher, but confidence. A CZT helps you build a way of tangling that you can easily continue at home, using simple and freely available resources.

Many CZTs also offer online sessions and recorded resources, including guided tangling videos on platforms such as YouTube, making the method accessible wherever you are.

You might choose to join a regular group, attend a one-off session focused on a particular tangle or design, or take a short course that introduces the key concepts. From there, the practice can naturally grow into your own personal approach, including Zentangle-inspired art
