About the event

The Zentangle® Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and enjoyable way to create detailed designs using structured patterns. You will make deliberate, repetitive strokes that gently guide attention to the present moment. This focused way of working often brings a sense of calm, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

Two hours gives us time to relax into the method, which is suitable for everyone, even for people who think they can't draw. The method is an easy way to get into hyper-focus, or achieve 'flow', if you have found this difficult to get through other meditation methods.

First session free, as part of the Telegraph Hill Festival, then £10 each two hour session. Warming teas and time and space to get into deep practice, the kind which happens when you are fully absorbed and slightly challenged. When you focus on deliberate, creative repetition, your brain literally strengthens new neural pathways and when you mindfully focus you improve cognitive functions. Book these three sessions together for £20 or use the other events on the booking page to book the one you wish to attend.

You will be following the tutor’s lead, who will guide you every step of the way. With thousands of ways to create more designs, this introduction gives pointers to continue this at home with non-expensive equipment.

Aimed at adults, but children over 14 are able to attend with a guardian.
